When I lived in my van I earned $800/month on a disability payment.

One day while going to Arby's with some friends I saw a sign from a homeless woman on the sidewalk near a Walmart. It read, "I'm not on drugs. Just down on my luck."
We went to Arby's and as I ordered my meal, I ordered a second one.

As my friends ate, I got back in the car and took the food to the woman just down street.

I introduced myself, and handed the food to her. Then I asked if I could sit and eat with her. We sat and talked while
we ate. She thanked me, hugged me, and then I went on my way.

I was also not on drugs, just down on my luck, but thankful for what I did have and was able to give.
