And as noticed by @TheSeeker268, there are two new facilities (F1 and F2) which have been built in recent years and could be related
The southernmost facilities (F1) are just on the other side of the creek with direct views. 300 m in a straight line, or less than 700 m by dirt road plus 100 m by a currently used path (as of 2019) to what it could be the entrance of the horizontal adit
And even more, it looks like the route to the mine from Nasu village could be now through a North route (thru a new settlement, F1 & F2) with a better dirt road.
Here the old route through Danaoshan and through the upper part of the mine (headframe). New route is quite visible
Here a timeline that could help to understand what has happened. Although it looks like there has been more activity since the "last" visit to the mine in 2015 https://twitter.com/franciscodeasis/status/1332696229264953347
Here the journalists race to the mine: https://twitter.com/franciscodeasis/status/1345374394726682625
Here another important finding of @TheSeeker268: copper and other metals mining survey license for a pre-existent mine in Bengping issued on 31-Jan-2012 (2 month before the outbreak in the mine) https://archive.is/Ako31  https://twitter.com/franciscodeasis/status/1343258666636603392

We also managed to gather many satellite images https://twitter.com/franciscodeasis/status/1358603670946938883
And these are some of the conclussions https://twitter.com/franciscodeasis/status/1358732877052133377
Here a nice thread explaining the possible origins of the name of the mine https://twitter.com/Drinkwater5Reed/status/1359010048492646401
