This is more a mental note for me as I push forward towards this, every day: The topic offending people, as a content creator. In my time on the internet, there's invariably three types of people who will be offended by you or your content. Each requires a different response.
1 -- People who are calling you out for something racist/sexist/insensitive you've said or done.

Get in front of this immediately. If you're a decent, pleasant person, you ideally won't ever be in this situation.

Empathize with and *sincerely* apologize to the aggrieved ASAP.
2 -- Hypersensitive people.

You've already offended them just with your existence or your interests. They're offended before even your debut. Pay attention but don't listen, if that makes sense.

You should never have to apologize for simply *existing*. Only what you do or say
3 -- People with awful opinions.

You don't have to pay ANY attention to these people. In fact, offending them is probably a sign you're doing something right. They offer a sort of brand opportunity -- how you ultimately react to these can help define your character's personality
(Incidentally, there's a wide variety of options for dealing with 3. It doesn't always have to boil down to either ignoring them or openly putting them down. Fubuki Shirakami is pretty much a *master* of trolling such people in a non-meanspirited way while being an iconic idol.)
