Our new analysis reveals huge #CarbonInequality in Europe: the richest 10% of EU citizens are responsible for as much as 27% of EU's total CO2 emissions.

That is as much as the poorest 50% across all the EU!

The poorest half of Europeans have cut their emissions by almost a quarter (24%), 'middle-income' citizens by 13%.

By contrast, the richest 10% increased emissions by 3% and the richest 1% increased 5%.

EU leaders must tackle #CarbonInequality this week.
