Graduate students: when you're in the depths of despair about your ability to push through and complete your degree, it's easy to conclude that you are uniquely bad, that no one else ever finds themselves questioning their decision to pursue advanced training.
In fact, most students hit a wall at some point, and decide that quitting is the only logical course of action. Because they don't really have what it takes, unlike everyone else. What they don't know is that everyone else has times when they feel that way.
This includes most of their supervisors, including yours truly. Graduate school is easy for no one, or nearly so. That is not to say that your doubts are insignificant, just that many others have experienced what you are feeling, and can maybe offer a helping hand.
tl;dr: You are not alone.
