Will Biden's plan to engage Europe in a global coalition to curb China's rising be possible?

Highly unlikely. Stop China's rising, destroying China means economic meltdown for Europe/West, like what Australia is likely to be facing, a fate it has chosen voluntarily.
2/ Unless EU is as stupid as Australia and doesn't care about economy and social unrest. Macron and Merkel are a bit smarter than Scott Morrison. For the year 2020, China has replaced USA to become the biggest trading partner of Europe. For the first three quarters, the trading
3/ volume with China is 425.5bn€ versus 412.5bn€ with the US. Last year for the same period the trading volume was 461.0bn€ with the US versus 413.4bn€ with China. Imports from China have increased 4.5% in 2020 while the exports have remained the same. USA being hit very
4/ hard by the coronavirus has difficulties keeping up with business as usual with Europe. Imports from US declined 11. 4% and exports thereto reduced 10%.

So despite the righteous lashing out at China from ideological grouds (totally misplaced. All human rights accusations
5/ against China are based on lies), there's a secret love affair going on between China & Europe. The two have been dealing back and forth with each other real hot. Meanwhile the commercial relationship with USA is drastically cooling off.
Especially hot products in high demand
6/are China's PPE medical supplies. Despite initial accusations of faulty masks, EU went on a buying spree to hoard supplies against possible shortages.

One wonders how in these circumstances, EU can still strike an alliance with US to stop China's rising.

China's rising has
7/ been largely beneficial to EU, just as it has been wildly lucrative to Australia. If China hadn't risen to its current level of prosperity with the corresponding purchasing power, EU wouldn't have been able to sell so much to China. China is supremely important to EU, a
8/lot more than India.
Now we observe a paradox. Contrasting with China, India, as a dysfunctional low quality democracy is a western darling. India isn't considered a threat to the west. However economically India is more or less useless to EU/Australia and West in general,
9/ more so after the pandemic.

General Motors had to close their factory in India because of the inadequate local purchasing power.

Meanwhile all US multinationals have become wildly profitable in China especially Tesla, Apple etc.

In order for the West to export more to
10/ China, the red dragon must further rise. If China's GDP rises another 30%, it will surpass the USA to become world's No. 1 economy, something which the West doesn't want to see. However, increase in GDP means increase in purchasing power which translates into more European
11/ exports to China which is something Europe ardently desires.

So we see the maddening paradox. USA led West are always studying China's vulnerabilities to find a way to strike down China, to wreck China's economy, to reduce China to another India. They have forgotten an
12/impoverished China means an impoverished West. China has been the locomotive of the world's GDP growth to the extent of contributing 30%. Which country can afford to let their GDP drop 30%? Australia maybe? S. Morrison is certainly making sure Australia is
13/ heading in that direction.

Australia is torn apart by the paradox. Their marines, their defenses are supposed to protect their trade routes with China who is also designated as its biggest enemy. So the Aussie military must defend its trade with China against China...
14/ Western countries always strive to expand their market share in China to capitalize on China's rising. China's rising means the rising of purchasing power of Western goods and services. At the same time, West is busy organising its own economic meltdown
15/ by pushing back China's rising...

China being pushed back to the state of India means economic melt down of the West causing the loss of tens of millions of jobs. Something West doesn't wish to happen but which is exactly what they are pushing for with
16/ the "global anti-China coalition".

China isn't so schizophrenic. With Belt Road Initiative, China is helping to develop poor countries. China knows when poor countries are enriched, their purchasing power will benefit "made in China"! Enriching others is enriching oneself.
17/ Wealth circulates.

The mindset of the West to always want to destroy, loot, exploit, impoverish other countries is not advisable. It always backfires. The two most obvious examples are European refugee crisis and terrorism. Now China's biggest exports is its hundreds of
18/ millions of tourists with huge purchasing power. Why does the West want to reduce China into an unstable poor country which can only export refugees and which destroys Western economies in the mean time?

Incomprehensible.
