Lifting up more Hoosier voices tonight, this time from rural Indiana. A new package is so critical right now. #COVIDHelp4Hoosiers

“Husband has been on and off of work since COVID-19 started.”
"I could child sit occasionally. The pandemic has people afraid to let their children become exposed to other, outside of their family members."

"I've had work cancelled because clients are cancelling with my company."
"Since COVID, I have been having a problem with finding adequate childcare for my daughter. The childcare I did find ended up closing the second week that my daughter began. Therefore, I am not able to work the way I would like to."
"Cant find help. It's always they tell me they don't have funds."

"In the house more so using more utilities and eating more food and all."

"Don't have enough money to cover everything."
"I was laid off and having difficulty finding another job especially with my children having to stay home for virtual learning."

"I'm self-employed and my job has had to close down and I'm trying to get my clientele built back up."
"If I can find adequate childcare for my daughter then that would be great and I can work more hours and find a better job."

"The first check...helped catch up bills & I hope government sends another one."
"I used the stimulus check as the summer energy help. Without the stimulus check my electric would have been shut off."

"The COVID help on SNAP was so very helpful. I am truly grateful for this temporary increase."
"I hope a 2nd stimulus package will be issued because it is hard to meet the bills."
I also talked to a mom who totally broke down talking about how many bills they were behind on & another who worries she'll never be able to buy a home because of how much debt she has / damage to her credit.
