The importance of the Quran

A thread 🧵
The Quran is our manual in life. Just like when you buy a desk, it comes with instructions.

For us to function correctly we have the Quran as our set of instructions in this dunya.
“And We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’aan) as a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allaah as Muslims)”

[al-Nahl 16:89 – interpretation of the meaning]
“Do they not then think deeply in the Qur’aan, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it)?”

[47:24 – interpretation of the meaning]

We are told to contemplate and read the Quran, otherwise it will be as if our hearts have been locked up.
The rewards of reading the Quran:

Surat Al-Ikhlaas is worth a 1/3 of the Quran, so whoever reads it three times is as if he has read the whole Quran!
The prophet (PBUH) told the companions:

“.... Allah, The One, the Self sufficient "Surah Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad (Al ikhlaas) equals a third of the Qur'an."

Sahih-Bukhari
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

“Whoever recites a letter of the Book of Allah will have one good deed for it, and each good deed brings a tenfold reward...”

Sahih- Albaani
There is around 322,000 letters in the Quran, imagine the reward that you get for reciting it...

Subhana’Allah
The Quran will intercede for us on the day of judgment!

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Read the Quran, for indeed it will come on the Day of Standing (Judgement) as an intercessor for its companions.”

[Muslim]
Only the best of people read the Quran, are you one of them?

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

“The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it to others.”

[Al-Bukhari]
The individuals rank in paradise will be determined by the amount of the Quran he has memorised!

Read the Quran, even if it’s one page a day.

Contemplate the verses you read.

Memorise the Quran.

And teach it to others.

May Allah make us of the ones who read, memorise and apply the Quran al-Kareem.
