Coronavirus denialism is part of multi-decade effort on the right to characterize any civic responsibility as an attack on "freedom", even though our freedoms are generally enhanced when people contribute their fair share to the common good.

In the end, coronavirus denialism reduced our freedom. If we had this pandemic under better control, we would have been able to ease the lockdown sooner. As it stands, it'll be the summer at the earliest before we get a break.
