Because we deal with stuff by making stuff and achieving things, and that is absolutely fine. Leave men alone. https://twitter.com/flossybabyjay/status/1335606543056769025
I’m not anti-therapy in general at all. I just think insisting that men prioritize introspection over going out and doing things is a recipe for alienating them from themselves and others, plus it usually comes from a place of hostility to how men operate inherently.
Like yes, therapy is good for some men at some points in their lives. But A. “Being in therapy” as a perpetual state as opposed to “doing therapy” to resolve an issue is not really for dudes and B. Lots of men are just fine and should be out doing man stuff, not indoors crying.
(Very appreciative of the women who are chiming in to say that perpetual therapy is not for girls either. I agree! Makes sense to me. Just didn’t really know for sure.)
