This is perhaps the most deceitful column I've read from anyone nominally on Team Remain.
The idea that a "soft" Brexit survived more than a few weeks after the referendum is for the birds.
So to blame Remainers for not pursuing something NEVER offered is massive revisionism. https://twitter.com/OwenJones84/status/1335948554930622465

It's telling that Owen decided to focus on 2019. The soft Brexit door was slammed shut in late 2016, and nailed closed in January 2017, when Theresa May made her speech.
By 2019, Labour were way off into Brexit fantasy land, and many Remainers had despaired of the PV campaign.

But then, for Owen, it's really been about something else entirely...
"Corbyn has committed to a people’s vote, so why do remainers still attack him?" https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/sep/22/jeremy-corbyn-peoples-vote-remainers-labour-election

Enough is enough.
Remain lost. Leavers got their Brexit. But we shouldn't have to worry about being gaslit by the home team too!
Stop with the revisionism. Let the Tories burn the history books, don't pour petrol on the flames.

He attacked "ultra-remainers" in May 2019 too (anyone trying for a second referendum rather than "compromise"). There were no soft compromise options left for over 2 years. But hey...
Again, it's all about Labour Labour Labour, not Brexit Brexit Brexit.
