It's holiday shopping crunch time! Hanukkah begins this week (!) and Christmas is 2 ½ weeks away. What does that mean if you are planning to give books to your loved ones?

What about books that are out of stock? Well, we're doing our best to keep up with demand, and so are our publishing partners. But there are a LOT of books that simply won't be available again until 2021.
This is especially true for cookbooks, coffee table books, picture books -- anything with lots of colorful pages inside. The few domestic book printers are ALSO trying to keep up with demand, while also taking workplace precautions to ensure safety during the pandemic.
Publishers are also taking precautions in their warehouses to minimize risk to workers -- this is an important thing that can mean slower delivery times to bookstores.
There have been many news articles about supply chain issues this year, and how the pandemic has slowed things down. Clothing, medicine, toilet paper -- you name it.
So you might have to choose a different book to give someone this month, or to wait until January to get the one you have your heart set on.
We will do the best we can to get your books to you as quickly as we are able. But please keep all the above in mind, and also that our very small team are human beings working to manage a very high order volume in a totally new way this year
