THREAD - FIVE things my kids want you to know about Muslims:

1.) Muslims are NOT terrorists. We have nothing to do with terrorism, ISIS, the Taliban or any other person that happens to do something bad. We are normal people. For example we love football and video games.

Please don’t say F*** Allah because we definitely feel offended when you say that.

By the way the English translation for Allah is actually God.

2/

Please don’t disrespect our holy book the Holy Quran because for us it’s literally the word of God & no different than your Bible, Torah, etc.

By the way we have a Bible/Torah in our house which we place next to the Quran on the most top part of our bookshelf out of respect.

3/

We don’t hate any religion or even anyone who chooses not to believe in a religion. Our Muslim faith teaches us to respect everyone.

And regarding heaven or hell we believe God will ultimately decide based on individual understanding who goes, who doesn’t — not any human.

4/

“Allahu Akbar” does not mean anything violent or have anything to do with blowing things up. So please stop making jokes about it — it hurts our feelings. All it means is “God is the greatest.”

We and millions of Muslims around the world say it over a 100 times a day.
