Upon reflection, while my cards are certainly part of my hobby, they have become assets that have coincidentally turned into investments.

After having $40k cash out and $40k cash in while gaining nearly $100k in assets, it’d be hard to say that isn’t an investment strategy /1
While I never viewed cards as “investments” that doesn’t mean they haven’t turned into that.

I’m currently using these assets that have accrued value to pay for my wedding and fund my search for my first house.

I’m a hobby-first guy, but really glad I “invested” wisely. /2
Tons of hard work, sweat and maybe not tears (but close to it when staring down the barrel of 60 packages in a weekend) went into this. So it’s not an accident.

But done the right way, you can have a ton of fun and make some capital gains with cards.

#invest PSA 10? 🔥 📈
