3) 1608 talks about Trey Gowdy. He was in the House of Representives, and resigned in 2019. He was most remembered for being the Chair of the House Oversight Committee, and also the Chair of the House Benghazi Committee. Biggest question-is Gowdy a WH, black or grey?
4) He always seemed to take people to task, while not much was ever done, particularly during the Benghazi Hearings. When he resigned, it was stated he would join President Trumps legal team but that changed shortly thereafter.
5) On January 31, 2018, Gowdy announced that he would not seek re-election in 2018 and intended to pursue a legal career instead of politics. He joined the law firm Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, and Fox as a contributor, in addition to writing a book and hosting a podcast.

8) Trey Gowdy didn’t become part of President Trumps legal counsel. He stated, "The president has good lawyers and more importantly good facts," Gowdy told McClatchy. 9) Despite being fired by FOX News as a contributor, he still appears regularly as a contributor.
