This is a thread on some of the words from Koeman's press conference today and some criticisms I have of him following our results in La liga.

The first thing I want to adress is the fact Koeman continues to play Coutinho, Griezmann and Messi at the same time instead of using wingers. We all know it doesn't work and it's fustrating for all the players especially Messi.

Koeman in his press conference said we can't play with multiple 10's because they'll come centrally. However he's done that ALL season. In all the games that we've won this season Villarreal, Celta Vigo, Juventus, Betis, Ferencvaros. We've used natural wingers from the start.

Now with Fati and Dembele injured Barça have lost 2 of arguably their most important players in attack. However with Trincão and Konrad in the team Koeman has the players to play on the wings and give us some much needed width and needs to use them.

Koeman's also complained numerous times about the fixture list and how unhealthy it is for the players. And whilst I 100% agree with Koeman about the schedule and with all the other coaches. EVERYONE ELSE IS GOING THROUGH THIS.

Atletico Madrid are a prime example. A team with a smaller squad than we have are dominating in la liga and look on their way to a title and yet I have to sit here and listen to you cry about fixtures whilst other teams find a way to win. And we skip down the table.

Another great example is Liverpool who's lost half their squad to injuries over the last few weeks and Van Dijk to a ACL injury and YET they find ways to get despite only being allowed to make 3 substitutes while Koeman has the advantage of 5.

It's also unfair to whine about the fixture list when you don't even use your bench players particularly the likes of Aleña, Puig, Firpo who've been discarded in LA Liga and barely given any minutes. Even Pjanic has received little game time and yet you complaining about fixtures

One thing I liked about Koeman's press conference was the fact on several occasions he addressed the poor mistakes Barca has been making defensively and the notable points it's cost us against Alaves, Atletico Madrid, and Cadiz.

What I would say is these mistakes have to be punished by the coach If we're seeing Ter Stegen, Lenglet, Alba, Busi or anyone else for that matter making mistakes like this consistently then changes need to be made.

Koeman for me is on burrowed time but he's is not the only problem here. He can't be blamed for the shambolic mistakes we've seen from our defense this season and our wastefulness infront of goal. As a team we have a look in the mirror and address our faults

What I definitely blame Koeman for is being too stubborn to change a system that doesn't suit work. Chosing the wrong line ups start the game. And panicking when Barça are losing. Too many times this season Koeman destroys the shape of this team in order to feild attackers.

This then creates two massive problems. Our own players get in each others way even more and we're completely exposed defensively. We've seen this time and time again and I can't understand how Koeman continues to make this mistake and I can't understand those who defend him.

This is about as far as I'm going to go into Koeman's press conference because I also want to adress other things more openly for example the words of Pjanic regarding his playtime and why he's completely justified in feeling a particular way.
