There was a lot of chatter over the weekend re where alternative tech hubs will be & whether this even matters (see @rabois & @ericbahn)

Here's the Zumper's 1BR monthly median rent in 4 of the cities being touted:

🌉 SF: $2,700
🏖️ LA: $2,000
⛵️ Miami: $1,710
⭐️ Austin: $1,290
Rent prices are obviously just one of factors in entrepreneurs' decisions on where to locate their HQs

But they are an important one

Rent is the single largest constituent in any cost of living calculation we all make when starting companies somewhere
So given these rent levels, where do you go to build?

Do you still pay the SF premium or not?

(I'm obviously missing a dozen or so alts like NYC, Denver, Boston, Chicago etc but Twitter limits the poll to 4 so 🤷‍♂️)
