Tori was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in 2016, just one week after her 30th birthday.

Over the next four years, Tori received 10 different therapies to quell her disease. In June 2020, she was informed that the cancer had spread to her brain.
So how does Tori find the strength to persevere during adversity?

"For me, resilience is about being kind to yourself for what you’re going through. It’s not so much the bounce back. It’s more about being self-aware and knowing how to best care for yourself as a whole person."
Tori’s story is a testament to her inner strength. But your path to resilience may be different, as there isn’t one single map.

Here are some general strategies to help you become more resilient. https://bit.ly/39M56eV
Practice self-control: While teams of scientists, world leaders and public health officials try to curb the pandemic, it’s easy to feel helpless. Focus on the aspects of your life that are still under your control. https://bit.ly/39M56eV
Focus on overall well-being: "Anything that impacts your health negatively will make it harder to bounce back when all this is over…an important part of resilience is trying to maintain things in a healthy way as best you can."
Laughter is good medicine: The power of laughter isn’t to be underestimated. And even now, as the pandemic persists and many people are struggling, it’s okay to smile. It’s okay to laugh. https://bit.ly/39M56eV
There is no “one-size-fits-all” solution: These strategies to help build resilience may change over time and be different for each person. Some people may clear their mind & relax through meditation while others may ease stress with exercise. https://bit.ly/39M56eV
