I know I'm over-talking about #TedLasso, but I have new #CliftonStrengths related thoughts today.

I have never seen a positive representation of the #Woo Strength on tv/in film. And as a high Woo, it's frustrating to feel like I'm always cast as either the idiot or the villain.
When you care about winning others over, it's often misunderstood as a weakness and I can't count the number of memes that encourage us to stop caring what others think. Like somehow, nothing good ever came of it.

But #WOO is a Strength! It's strong af.
And #TedLasso shows us just how powerful it can be when you are motivated by the well-being and well-thinking of other people.

Even the show-open is a symbol of the #Strength of #Woo. One person, changing the faded, graffiti'd blue to a clean, perfect, vibrant red...
When I think about what my #Woo wants for the world, that picture is exactly it. It's the impact we can have on each other when we think well of ourselves and of other people. When we genuinely love, no matter what we've been through and no matter what the world throws at us.
The power of the Strength that cares about Winning Others Over ( #WOO) is the power of wholeness and integration. It's the power of confidence and trust. It's the ability to be who I am without judgment. And you be who you are, without judgment.
And all those great things can happen because one person cares about how other people think about him (or her). Because one person cares enough to try to make an impact. To try and win over someone else's opinion.

I see it in a million ways in Ted Lasso.
And I can't help but wonder if the creators and writers have #Woo or #Developer or #Positivity, because those themes are all over the show and I've never seen a more brilliant thematic representation of the power of those Strengths in all my life.
As someone who writes and who coaches writers in their #Strengths, it is a joy to behold the heroic nature of the desire to win others over. Woo isn't just a prop. It's not something villains feel because they're vapid and self-involved. It's brilliant and bright and influential.
And I haven't been more proud of the Strength of Woo than I am when I'm watching Ted Lasso.

Because if there were more healthy/balcony #Woo in the world, we'd all be a lot better off.
And I'm gonna tag @ZoeYorkWrites @jessmichaelsbks and @RancherNikki on this thread because I think they will enjoy it. But dammit, I love my Woo today!

It makes me want to do the Woo Quitcast RIGHT NOW! <3
