1970 Romano Cagnoni took a photo of a woman talking to a man in Islington
"Put Britons First
STOP immigration
REJECT Common Market
RESTORE capital punishment
MAKE Britain great again
SCRAP overseas aid
REBUILD our armed forces
Vote National Front"

Here we are again
#ThisIsBrexit
Posters behind her are for the Reverend Brian Green, the National Front candidate for Islington that yr, polling one of their highest levels of support

He was a close ally of Ian Paisley, working for him in & out of Parliament.
Doubt he thought Black lives mattered. Or Catholic
Only 1970s NF manifesto idea that hasn't been taken up (yet) by Boris Johnson's BLUKIP Tories is return of the death penalty, but support for authoritarian control was the only close to reliable predictor of Brexit support intent according to this (2016):
https://bbc.co.uk/news/amp/magazine-36803544
Bringing back the death penalty does seem to be high on the list of things that some keen Leavers want for Brexit Britain... https://twitter.com/Haggis_UK/status/1225459176295600128
And although Priti Patel claims she's not an "active" supporter of the death penalty, she's very keen that criminals should "feel terror" + she did actually say she would "support the reintroduction of capital punishment to serve as a deterrent" on HIGNFY in 2011
So who knows?
