Doing a cluster analysis (frequently popularised as a tribe analysis) to identify the different segments of the public and how they have responded to the pandemic.

Seems to be four groups:
[1] Retired gov supporters,
[2] Covid Zeros,
[3] Covid Skeptics, and
[4] Affluent families
[1] High confidence in the government. Latest restrictions are correct. Rate CMO very highly. Believe people will adhere to the rules and Xmas not worth another lockdown. Very keen on the vaccine. Aged over 55. Own their home. Strongly FG/FF. No change in mental health.
[2] No confidence in gov. Relaxation of restrictions went too far. Oppose indoor dining. Schools should shut early. Visitors to Ireland quarantine in hotels. Discourage NI travel. Xmas not worth a lockdown. Don't believe people will adhere to rules. Rate CMO high. Lean SF, PBP.
[3] No confidence in gov handling of pandemic. Reopening didn't go far enough. In favour of indoor dining. Normal Xmas. People will NOT adhere to the rules. Unlikely to take vaccine. Rate CMO low. Mental health disimproved. Male, 25-44, Rent. SF, NP, Aontú. Tabloids & Newstalk.
[4] Relaxed restrictions appropriate and confident in government. Opposed to schools closing early, in favour of indoor dining. Have mortgage, 3rd level degree, live in Dublin, 35-54. Medium rating for CMO. RTÉ. Mental Health best. Lean FG, FF, Lab, Green. Pro Vaccine.
