1/ GETTING UNBANKED IS REAL, CRYPTO FIXES THIS: my own story.

2/ A year ago, I was minding my own business and suddenly, without notice, I could not access my bank account. I had 0 cash with me, and no idea what was going on. I called the bank that told me I owed a crazy amount of tax money, and they said to contact tax authorities.
3/ I called my accountant, since I live in Germany and I'm not a native speaker, I've had professionals handling my accounting for the past 5 years. HE BAILED. I did not understand: I submit my report every year, I pay every month...
4/ I got all my papers ready and went to the tax authorities and tried to find out the source of my problems. The person (one person - name and last name) that handles ALL my tax stuff in the govt for years told me off. She said I should come back with an accountant (sigh)
5/ I hired a new accountant that told me, my former one was no accountant at all, so he only could submit one thing for me (yearly report) and had not submitted VAT in two years. I had trusted him as I knew taxes in Germany would be hard for me. He fucked me over.
6/ The 2nd accountant I hired did nothing at all. A month and two confusing letters from the bank later, stating different debt amounts (I had been unbanked for a month here, with bills to pay), I go again to the authorities, and they tell me that there were 2 tax ids on my name
7/ this means the person in the tax office that handled my case failed to do her due process and let me know she had opened a new tax id after i changed jobs 2 years ago, when i could just have stayed with the old one. Neither her nor any of the accountants alerted me.
8/ The old tax id was accumulating debt all along and I was not notified. I was still unbanked. So my broken German and I made a deal with the debt handling office at the government, i would pay 30% of the debt in the next few days and he would tell the bank to unblock my account
9/ You know how I did regain access to my account? I had been saving in $DAI all along. A stablecoin. So I exchanged my savings and paid what they asked me to pay, and got banked again. They kicked me out of the system for their own errors and I saved my ass because of $DAI
10/ Now I'm okay, my taxes are in order, everything is paid, and I continue to save in crypto because the system has proven to me that they will deplatform me without notice, leave me out in the cold, and it does not matter who's to blame.
11/ So when you try to disenfranchise crypto and stablecoins, you are attacking everyone. I'm not poor, or PoC but I know a thing or two about being deplatformed and reentering the system again thanks to crypto.

14/ i’m not an edge case. My solutions might not be applicable for most people. But I’m a real testament of why we need to become antifragile individuals able to get economic independency from a very flawed and prone to human error without accountability system
