+ In a survey carried out by ZDF, one of the most famous german public tv channels, 47% of the people asked claimed that most germans had basically nothing to do with the targeting and assassination of jews during the Third Reich. In the same survey, 81% claimed that +

+ germans knew nothing about the Holocaust while it was being carried out. And the worst part of this, in the same survey, 28% of the people asked believe there should be an end to all the Holocaust and Nazi talk in Germany. +

+ In anti-corona regulations demonstrations, anti-vaxers and neo-nazis happily mix together. In those demonstrations, they are comparing themselves to the prosecuted Jews, especially to Anne Frank. How is that the reaction of historical aware people? It isn’t. +

+ I’m not “going off” at Germany and Germans just because I want to. I just think we in Europe need to stop thinking Germany is a country that as a whole remembers its past, because surveys and facts prove otherwise.
