Genuinely considered leaving #footballindex this week when they announced IPOs. There was no need to test the old process in a time of such low liquidity, gave me no confidence in those that run FI.
On top of this, Portfolio is grim reading atm! But I haven't left & here is why:
On top of this, Portfolio is grim reading atm! But I haven't left & here is why:
1) We had a good product, now we have a poor implementation of a better product.
I still believe that in 6 months time FI will be in a better place than it ever has been.
We all know how they get there. It's just a case of actually doing it.

2) The marketing war chest is still available for when times are a bit better. When the market starts functioning they can start buying new customers again.
3) I really enjoy the product! When your holds are competing on a champions league night or you're counting a Bundesliga player pass the ball around in extra time it brings an extra level of enjoyment to football itself.
4) It's made me a better football gambler. My knowledge of teams from around Europe is so much better now and I am a lot better at spotting value. Still low stakes with it (£10/20 bets) but I'm 4 figures in profit for the season on Betfair using my FI knowledge to inform bets.
5) Finally, there are some great people on FI who you can talk to objectively. Every twitter community has trolls and they've found their way onto slack now too but if you ignore the noise there are still some very passionate people driving the product forwards from the outside.
Happy to chat/DM to anyone who has had a bit of a wobble and wants to bounce ideas off one another.
Best advice, sleep on it and think rationally about why you're on #footballindex in the first place.
Easy to make emotional decisions when something has wound you up.
