I’ve seen people write threads and I will add my own . When I was 17 I was diagnosed with Turners because I hadn’t begun my menstruations . In this office I was also told I would not be able to get pregnant . This as you could imagine was a very lonely and painful experience . https://twitter.com/lottelydia/status/1335675445212221440
This is always something in the back of my mind in every relationship I enter . It’s something I didn’t get a choice in . It’s a reality that I have to deal with and take . It’s something that has made me struggle with womanhood . Something having Turners just does in its nature
Now take a second and imagine what it’s like to see people who have healthy reproductive organs and sexual development, taking that for granted and what it feels like for those who don’t . You’re right for some it is a choice . That should not be minimized and swept under the rug
Weather it suits your fancy or not there is more than one perspective on this . I’m aware that there’s a fair share of bigotry but not every “well wait a minute” is out of bigotry or spite or hate . Consider that there is nuance here . Also yes we’re all very tired about it .
