guess im not gonn be able to sleep until i say this, but i just want to put it out there again that i never intended to harass a fic writer. when i made the tweets that i did, i was blocked by the creator and i knew that unless somebody told them, they wouldn't see my tweet.
i didn't harass them, i CERTAINLY didn't harass sineala, who i am a huge fan of. but i, and both of the writers HAVE been harassed by anonymous users sending us a barrage of hate mail. this is not something that i'm responsible for, it's not something i CONDONE.
having an adderall comedown that's absolute hell right now so apologies if my thoughts aren't completely clear, but when i first saw that the writers were getting messages about me, i explicitly told my followers not to send them anything. that i didn't want that, or ask for it.
as i've stated before, both writers were unaware of my existence until anonymous users began harassing them "to warn them about me" who, at this point, had spoken about CN maybe three times generously, and had only praised sineala.
as of today ive taken criticism less than seriously, bc i don't think there's anything wrong with expressing that i find smth offensive, & it is extremely popular in fandom. i didn't pull this out of my ass. my mutuals talk about CN, often, i made my own commentary in response.
terf adjacents who have called me a misogynist aren't mad at me because i was harassing somebody, i didn't harass anybody and i've received a lot more harassment than i've ever given. they're mad because my opinion felt pointed towards them, and made THEM feel uncomfortable.
it makes you so uncomfortable to know that a trans person had the gall to say that a trope created by cis women for cis women is a bad one. "a/b/o bad" . THAT made you angry, that's all it took. trans people aren't welcome in a fandom created for cis women "get over it" right?
i talked about a trope that made me uncomfortable on an account where i knew the author couldn't see it & that just wouldn't do huh? it's your comfort transphobic trope right? :( how inconsiderate of me to not consider the feelings of cis women when i talk about trans erasure
calling out a fanfiction trope isn't bullying, and neither is saying you dislike a popular fanfiction because it includes that trope. does it hurt your feelings to hear trans people talk about their horrible experiences in fandom? aw :( bummer
"it costs $0 to be kind" costs a fucking LOT actually, to be barraged with fandom intolerance on a daily basis and NOT say anything about it.
where were the stevetony warriors when stevetonies were sending hate to rhodeytony, buckytony fic writers within our community over and over and over again. they do this CONSTANTLY. and where were the defense tweets then?
i mean jesus just TODAY oomf was getting racist fucking messages from stevetonies and you can't process for a moment that maybe what i'm doing is so goddamn unimportant in comparison to that.
what we NEED to confront is that you're all so so comfortable with allowing microagressions and straight up bigotry and now you're not only shrugging off unnecessary teen porn in fics but you're going on and on about how anybody who calls it what it is (PREDATORY!) is a bully
look, they posted this work PUBLICLY and they knew, they KNEW what it was. they're not helpless they're FULLY GROWN and if they can't stand somebody saying "i think its gross" then they simply don't have to write it! it's free to not age characters down!
not condoning hatred against fic writers. i understand its hurtful to hear your work wasnt entirely well received but if there's ever a moment where it should be taken to a public acc it's when the content is harmful & gaining traction in spaces where the ppl effected can see it
random but i've seen people say i'm lying about tony being 17 but like he is 17 you're not making points by saying "but they don't fuck until his 18th birthday" or wtv you're all so so weird. jesus christ just read and write about people your own age.
