Eastern Cape being hit hard by deaths.

The admitted figure has gone from under 5 000 to over 6 000 in less than 3 weeks.

• KZN the one that's going up very quickly now - GP not far behind
• WC went past 1k in the last week & EC still inching up
• While their averages are still low, the bottom 5 provinces have turned the corner so that means all provinces are now going up

New cases for WC

• Average last week was 897.3 and this week it's 1 218.1
• Hospital admitted figure up by almost 300 since last week
• Daily deaths average just over 23 and rising
• Positivity rate has more than doubled over the last month

New cases for EC

• Average last week was 1 306.6 and this week it's 1 464.6
• Hospital admitted figure went up by just over 150 since last week
• Daily deaths average going past 50 - average getting up to the heights of the 1st wave

KZN has entered the chat

• Average last week was 233.7 and this week it's 525.7
• Hospital admitted figure up by just over 100 since last week
• Deaths still low at under 10 a day but this will likely increase in the coming weeks
