There’s a huge influential category of Indian Muslims that are products of mixed marriages. They are better educated & prosperous than regular 95% of Indian Muslims & also dominate media
They usually don’t live in Ghetto & aren’t practicing & do not understand issues of Muslims.

Among Indian Muslim names you see in media there is a big section of mixed marriage product Muslims & non Sunni Muslims. The second category have their own agenda. They’re also likely to be from mixed breed. This category opposes any Muslim political party for sectarian reason

If you do analysis of the Muslim names who threw Sunni Tablighi Jamaat under the bus, who abuse Erdogan & supported Triple Talaq, & Ram Mandir you’ll see a pattern. All such people are not from regular Muslims but come from the two category that I mentioned above. “Understand it”

I neither have any issue with any sect or mixed marriages. But it’s important to make the distinction. The non Sunni mixed marriage products don’t identify with Muslim majority not qualify to speak on behalf of 90% practicing Indian Muslims that’s don’t have large voice in media.

Take for eg. the woman who was involved in Tripe Talaq case Zakia Soman. RSS affiliated Bhartiya Muslim Mahila Andolan. She is married to a Hindu. Mohd Kaif another pro BJP sportsman from UP again married to Hindu. Number of journalist & politician. Long list of BJP supporters

Again anyone is entitled to speak and raise issue whether a product of Hindu marriage or not But the people should know where it’s coming from it’s too simplistic to see a person speak on an issue concerning Muslim community with a Muslim name. Not all are mainstream Muslims

Muslims living in Bandra West & Andheri West dominate the media and the limelight but these people are 2% of the Muslim population. The real Muslims are the silent majority who live in Mumbra, Mira Road and Mohammad Ali Road who want to practice their religion & live simple life

It’s for the silent majority of Muslims who do not dominate the media & limelight to come forward and take their space. It’s unfair for some non Ghetto elite of mix marriage from Lucknow or Bandra West to speak on behalf of silent Muslim majority that lives in Mumbra or Moradabad

And to some extent rise of @asadowaisi has given voice & space to the Ghetto Muslims who happen to be the mainstream Muslims rather than famous Muslim names that never lived among Indian Muslims or understood their issues to take up the cause of M masses. Its needed in media too

Sarkari sellout Imams, others who go to Hindutva TV channels & enjoy patronage of Modi Govt can’t have it both ways. If they choose perks of siding with Hindutva then they should also be ready for backlash from community. Don’t invite them to weddings & don’t go to their funerals
