you know what im still ABSOLUTELY pissed about that i havent seen anyone mention? that amara should’ve been god. there were SO MANY signs and symbols that pointed to amara being the light while chuck was actually the darkness, but amara being locked up so long forgot what she was

that flashfoward that chuck showed sam PROVED that chuck was lying because he said a world without him (the light) would be endless monsters) but there’s two things about this.

1.) why would there still even BE monsters when amara was locked up and chuck (the supposed light) was the only one around?? if chuck being locked up and amara loose meant full 100% monsters and no good all the time, then why wasn’t chuck loose and amara locked up 100% good ??

2.) going back to the first point you could argue “chuck was a mean god, he put monsters on earth to see humans struggle” but i reply to that with, if amara, the darkness, truly was the controller of all evil, chuck would NOT be able to control or create the monsters he wants

this is of course UNLESS,,, chuck,
knowing he’s the darkness created a low balance of monsters to be on earth so that way it SEEMS LIKE it’s just something that’s there, and out of his control, and on the boys side of, when in reality he is the direct cause of it.

moving on from these two points, amara was locked up for a VERY VERY long time. chuck, being the darkness, could have very well left her with some psychological torment in her cage for all that time, that made her BELIEVE she was the darkness. when in reality she’s the light.

now looking back from a biblical standpoint, “light” was created because the “darkness” was there first,,, so if we personify darkness the way spn did, the darkness would technically be older than the light, which is different than chuck says. in a way... doesn’t chuck kinda

seem like a jealous older sibling to you? the one who’s upset that the whole toy box isn’t just for them anymore... the one that begins to feel like the villain... hmmm

this could also provide reasoning for why chuck is seemingly slightly stronger than amara, hes slightly older than she is (according to the bible most likely 7 days but whatever)

i could go on and on about their sibling dynamic and other minuscule pieces of evidence about why it all makes sense like chuck needing constant recognition and praise from his followers as if it’s something that was stripped from him the second amara showed up etc etc

but lastly i’ll leave off with two things...

1.) the wardrobe.
towards the end amara was wearing light, angelic colors, while chuck wore dark colors which is something that’s so stark, so noticeable, especially in the heaven scene, that is undoubtedly completely intentional and representative of their true natures.

and 2.) the merging scene
when chuck tricks amara into merging with him for pure balance we see her on the left, wearing, and light colors and chuck on the right wearing dark colors. when they merge and we see chucks eyes, the left one is the light, and the right is the dark

i could go on and on about this but

tl;dr- amara was supposed to be god, the light, and chuck is actually the darkness and i fervently believe it was set up to be this way but the cw sucks and didn’t follow through with a woman being god.

also one other little thing !!!
this would’ve allowed jack to still be a kid and, just like when amara brought back mary cause “it was what dean most wanted” she would’ve brought back cas and eileen because it would’ve been what the boys most wanted.
