I'm going to explain things as an immigrant's daughter re why I don't support the JDs perspective of total government control:
1) My parents work for the VA which is solely controlled by the govt. Depending who's in power controls the financing, the running of the org 1/

2/And that is very bad when there are people in govt who know nothing about veterans care. See the history of the VA and a bad reputation of a very good source that we have available.

3/But the idea of earning something, that is YOURS, is a representation of your work, is what WE like. I'm not speaking stuff. I'm speaking education, making our way, savings, property. It has always been a dream and you'll never get that if you never had ppl in your fam
Who have been at the bottom, been denied, worked hard for others' but received little, or just had slavery/indentured servitude in their DNA. And this is why complete socialism/communism/authoritarian/totalitarian govts don't work for us. They're all about controlling your 5/
For what are your basic needs and rights.
3) This doesn't mean a free capitalist society and no govt in order to raid banks. We like our safety nets, to know that if we need resources, they are there for us. It does mean that we still want the freedom to advance though. 6/

And the current platform of Bernie Sanders and his crowd fail to realize this. They have no collective. They want to grift and make things easier for the few and not the whole. And this is why the lies of a total govt control state aren't appealing. 7/7
