As we approach the end of this rather messed up year and get into the holiday season, I figure I’d highlight a variety of small businesses in Ottawa and Toronto with great products/food/drinks. Couple notes and links for each of them as you scroll the thread.
Kicking us off is Alicja Confections in Ottawa. This place makes amazing chocolate bars with some classic varieties as well as some funky ones with things like caramel popcorn or spiced fruit.

Next up is KOA Natural Skincare, a black-owned small business based in Toronto. These guys make affordable, natural, and effective skincare products. Personal favourites are the Lip Quencher and the Everything Balm.

Okay now we've got Chilly Dogs, an Ottawa-based company making sweaters and jackets for dogs. Everything is designed and manufactured in Stittsville and the quality is unmatched. Just got Poppy a Great White North and she loves it.

Another spot to check out - Park and Province. This is a very high-quality menswear store located on Queen St W in Toronto. I've gotten a number of things here over the 5 years they've been open and they're all still heavily in the rotation.
