This is such a wilfully ignorant sook from Suzanne Moore, entirely erasing the fact the biggest platforms are constantly afforded to the biggest bigots and people *are* already writing much better things that aren't being given the platform to compete with / counter the bigotry.
This also kind of bugs me. "This opinion sucks, this article sucks, ergo you suck" can go overboard but is a world apart from relentless trolling that attacks people on the basis of their race / background and questions their right to even exist.
I'm sure this article is being shared aplenty by people illustrating how open-minded and free thinkerish they are, but what it actually shows is a reflexive siding with status quo entitlement and a desire to live free of true critique let alone consequence.
