>> They came out with a trilogy live action for this! While I'm not a huge anime person, I do appreciate some that really gets my attention. This is also a staple to Filipinos!

Rekka no Hono (aka Flame of Recca)
>> Idk how popular this is/was but I'm pretty sure a lot of 90s kids like me watched this every weekday afternoon. It's pretty good!

Fushigi Yûgi (aka The Mysterious Play or Curious Play)
>> I used to watch this on AXN channel. For some reason, this was associated to be "steamy" or "sexual" by viewers (at least for us who were in our puberty stage lol). A lot of girls back then were going gaga over Tamahome.

Kishin Doji Zenki (aka Zenki)
>> Every 90s kid knows who Apo Jukai is. That's the Filipino translation for "Ozunu Enno", one of the main characters in the show. Also, I was so into this my mom got mad at me for quoting demonic stuff from the show

Shinseiki Evangerion (aka Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Chodenji Mashīn Borutesu Faibu (aka Voltes V [pronounced as "five"])
>> It's kinda like Power Rangers where there's 5 main characters and then they "volt in" to form this massive robot to fight a monster

Rupan Sansei (aka Lupin III or Lupin the Third)
>> one of my favorites! It's basically a story about a master thief and his adventures. It's really funny!

Ranma Nibun-no-Ichi (aka Ranma 1/2 [one half])
>> this one is a cute anime! It's about a teenage boy who was cursed to turn into a girl when splashed with cold water. Hot water changes him back. Haha

>> a story about a student who discovers magical powers that involves cards

Arupusu no Shojo Haiji (aka Heidi, Girl of the Alps)
>> this falls more on just drama and life. No super powers or heroes. But a real tearjerker. I miss Lolo Alps

Shokoshi Sedi (Little Lord Fauntleroy/ Little Prince Cedie/ Cedie)
>> Another drama-centered Japanese animated series about a young boy who became the sole heir to a rich ass family but has a heart of gold. They even made a film adaptation in the Philippines

Purinsesu Sēra (aka Princess Sarah)
