I think one of the best realizations that I made during my first semester of professional schooling is that you cannot know everything. Medicine is always evolving and new drugs are always being developed and approved. It’s impossible to keep everything straight. 1/
For me and most healthcare students, imposter syndrome is a debilitating mental state that makes us feel as though we will never be able to reach our goals. I think that we should have more open conversation with first year students about their experiences with it. 2/
There is a lot to know and a lot to be competent in. However, I truly cannot believe that those two attributes of healthcare are one in the same. I want to be a lifelong learner in my career as a pharmacist and take the time to learn and teach from my experience while 3/
Remembering where I started. I think that our current educators can adopt this mindset and make learning a more enjoyable space for students; fortunately, some have. I’d like to hear some experiences of other healthcare students who have dealt with the same mentality as me! 4/4
