Reiterating that Gotham Knight has no narrative relation to the Arkham series.
Character breakdowns:
Barbara Gordon,
-Daughter of Jim Gordon who died in the line of duty a couple of years before the events of the game.
-Spent time as Oracle, after many painful surgeries she's back on her feet.
-Relentless street fighter with hacking abilities
Nightwing,
-Kinda like a big brother of the group
-Funny, flamboyant, ping-pong fighter who can take on a lot of enemies at once with a smiles on his face
-In co-op, he can buff his teammates.
Red Hood,
-In Gotham Knights, Jason starts discovering how he was resurrected. (which unlocks certain parts of his progression, like new abilities.)
Robin,
-He's young (teenager), still in highschool
-The strongest natural detective of the group
-He's a stealth focused character
-He can manipulate AI as a way of fighting crime?
Players level up, as they level up they gain the ability to unlock unique abilities in their ability tree. Basically you level up, you get a skill point for the skill tree. The skill tree has multiple branches with different aspect of the character.
The gear system is focused on three main components: Suit, Melee weapon, and Ranged weapon.
-By upgrading the suits: you're gaining certain abilities, armor benefits, and traversal/mobility, status effects/damage types.
There are criminal factions.
Customization,
-Skins
-Suit styles
-Accessories that go with Suit Styles
With co-op,
-You can tag enemies
-You can (obv) revive your teammates
-Some abilities have additional value in co-op, example, you can buff your teammates/provide them with beneifts, and can "overclock" some of their abilites.
