With #Brexit nearly over the line, it’s time for us to turn our attention to our own spending habits. A successful UK is dependent on many things – one of those is the habits of its consumers.
With #Brexit nearly over the line, it’s time for us to turn our attention to our own spending habits. A successful UK is dependent on many things – one of those is the habits of its consumers.
You may not think that your little grocery shop, or your next electrical appliance purchase, can make much of a difference. You’d be wrong. Consumer demand can make or break businesses. It can help new startups to flourish. Every pound matters. YOUR pounds matter.
So what do we do? Quite simply, a little more research than we do now. There's much that is made in the UK, but we often stick to the brands we know. Have a look at @FactoryNOW_ and @Jefferson_MFG. Stay in the know about UK manufacturing so that you can make informed choices.
#BuyBritish whenever you can. If we make the goods here, then consider those first. If they’re a few pounds more, and you can afford them, then make that your choice. Keeping UK business going means keeping employment going, as well as much needed revenue for the exchequer.
If you can’t #BuyBritish, then have a look around and see what friendly nations around the world have to offer. Trade isn’t just about proximity. Keep up to date with political developments. Consumer demand can make or break trade deals.
Above all, when #Brexit is finally over and done with, stay focused on what you can do to contribute towards the success of the UK. Every little effort helps towards the greater cause.
Don’t waste any more time engaging with #FBPE types and their “What are the benefits of #Brexit?” We did that in 2016. Mute or block, and move on. There were benefits in leaving, and benefits in remaining. We were asked to choose, and choose we did. We’ve left the EU. It’s done.
After 40 years we’re going it alone again. Every minute spent on those who are dragging their feet is wasted time. Focus on what we need to do. There are plenty of believers in #Brexit and, don't forget, this includes many people who voted to remain. Together, we CAN do this.

In the end, it won’t just be politicians who make #Brexit Britain. It’ll be ordinary consumers like you and I who, together, CAN make the British lion roar again.
