It isn't my place to comment on my thoughts on it. People in the trans community say its promoting harmful commoditation or fetishization of the trans experience. I will not disregard their experiences. So I've decided...
I will not stream this game.
I got it as a gift from my brother for Christmas. I didn't not spend a single dime paying for this product. I do plan on playing it and am excited. But I will not stream it, in consideration for the struggles of my trans family. IRL or mutuals.
I truly hope what the developers said due to initial backlash is true. That it is genuinely satire and a critical look at and making commentary on trans lives as commodity. But until that is made clearer, i pledge to stay true to my values and not stream this game.
