I have always tried to be objective about both Emery and Arteta.

Praised Emery during this first good run but also pointed out that team was outperforming on xG and that will run out some time. And it did.
When Arteta joined, I was positive about a young hire with Pep's tutelage, but also very cautious about his ZERO experience.

Gave him credit for improving defense but also pointed out that offense has suffered.

Gave him credit for Cup but pointed that it doesn't affect league.
If you look at data - and data rarely lies - it is not hard to be objective. With data, you can easily ignore the hype and not get carried away with feeling.

Many fans are sentimental. They want Arteta to succeed but that also makes them blind to his faults.
I also want him to succeed but I can see that on the pitch (which is what matters) he is struggling. That defensive improvement is gone. All the data points against. He has nowhere to hide now. Sad but true.
The worst part is that not much will improve if we fire Arteta. Who will come in?

Our only hope is that Arteta drops his favorites and plays people on form and stick with them for a few games (not changing too soon).
