2- he’s definitely trying to figure out what Ian wants and to answer the way he thinks Ian wants him to. Ian mentions it seemingly out of the blue so Mickey must think it’s something

Ian has thought about and doesn’t want. I think Mickey assumed being faithful was part of the deal but with Ian bringing it up he believed Ian felt differently and was saying what he thought Ian wants. Imagine if he said monogamy and Ian didn’t. He’d be devastated.

He even tried to peak at what Ian was writing so he could have the same and “correct” answer. I’m not worried about this. He might have wrote fuck other people but he did so he wouldn’t be on the receiving end of the gut punch he thought Ian was about to blow.

They’ll figure it out. Tensions will be high and they’ll fight like idiots but they’ll get there and be fine.
