How to Master a New Software

// A THREAD //
On Black Friday I got a couple of software deals that I've never used before.

- RankMath
- http://Frase.io
- Postaga
- Publer

And all of those seem to be really powerful tools.

This is the thread on how I will learn to unlock and use their power.
1. I will come up with a very concrete application.

Example:
With RankMath I will improve my website SEO --> Bigger traffic --> More sales.
Also, I can offer this service to clients later.

By thinking about the application you will get a very concrete WHY.

And WHY motivates.
2. Start with good old Youtube.

Once I have WHY I will learn the HOW.

Sometimes you can figure that on your own (like Publer).

But when can't (RankMath) I will then watch at least one long video tutorial and will take notes/mirroring the steps on my own account.
3. Getting my hands dirty.

Once I know the basics I will spend some time trying to implement what I've learned.

I will spend a lot of time on Reddit, forums, yt... because every website is different and has different goals.

That will help me to understand the tool even more.
4. Make a backbone system.

Once I have the basic feeling for the tool I will make a basic "implementation" checklist.

Both for the new website and the new article.

This way I'll make sure I will use the tool productively and the software will start to generate me the $ back.
6. Keep in touch with knowledge.

This is the additional step that I apply only to software that I find crucial for my work.

- interesting subreddits
- relevant newsletter
- tool's blog
- check if there are any local communities

That's how you keep evolving with the tool.
