What I learned from going from 0 to 1000 followers

A thank you thread (& my first thread) (1/9)
ITS SUCH A DRAG! (2/9)

lol JK

Do what you love

- If you don't write about what you're passionate about you will get bored and burn out.

Focus on what YOU love not what you think others will.
Be social on social media (3/9)

- There are amazing people on Twitter just waiting for you to get to know them.

- People will help you that you never thought would give you the time of day.
Learn to love learning (4/9)

- There are more things to learn than there are stars in the sky.

Devote yourself to learning what you do not know and revisiting what you have already learned.
Engagement is king (5/9)

... But for more reasons than you think.

- Every day someone posts something that can change someone's life. Maybe that someone is you.

The more you engage the more you learn from others.

People noticing you is a bonus.
Notice your mentor (6/9)

I've always heard people say "find a mentor" but great mentors are rarely sought out, they usually come into your life without you looking for them.

If you're ready you will take advantage of the opportunity when it comes to you.
Learn from others who came before you (7/9)

- Don't be intimidated by more established accounts. Many of them are very kind and helpful.

What they've done works and may work for you too if you learn from them.
Be persistent (8/9)

- Persistence is the ability to function despite difficult circumstances.

Every day won't be a good day, those who say otherwise are lying.

- Posts you think will be amazing might be garbage and lackluster posts may shine like diamonds.
Maintain positive energy (9/9)

- Positive people attract positive change. It's not a cliche.

The key to investing in yourself is to first believe in yourself.
And again thanks to everyone who has joined the journey.
