1/3 As a communications professional, I found it interesting to watch @realDonaldTrump last eve. Compelling evidence that he’s extraordinarily in tune with/ empathetic to his audience. Not indicative of a pathological narcissist. The energy was low for a while. It was off.

A combination of anger of heist, disbelief & resolve from crowd. He was off. His voice/tone mirroring those he fights for. A ‘helpless’ sort of air. At some point, amid chant interruptions, he heard his people. His tone changed. His usual rally cadence returned. It was palpable.

3/3 As someone trained to pay attention to speaker and listener, i marveled at the recovery. It said more about his heart than the past 4 years combined. He didn’t abandon us. Tired, worn, challenged, I believe his patriotic relationship has been & always will be- reciprocal.
