I have a goal for this pandemic Christmas to borrow a tradition I read comes from Iceland - giving books on Christmas eve and staying up late reading them, while being cozy with warm beverages. Sounds good right?
My additional goal is to do it all with the help of my local bookstore @NorwichBooksVT and also, not surprisingly I'm buying books a lot of you I follow here on twitter have written or contributed to.
And since none of my family hangs out on twitter I can give away all the secrets!
First off, of course, there's @allwecansave brought to life by @DrKWilkinson and @ayanaeliza and contributed to by many amazing women climate thinkers and doers on here!!
And then from @silverpebble The Wild Remedy which I plan to borrow shortly after Christmas (actually that's my plan for all these books - now you know why I'm so excited!)
A Handmade Life about the life of Bill Coperthwaite, with photographs from my friend Peter Forbes!
From @bakingjames How Baking Works (ok here the strategy is less to borrow the book and more to eat the results).
Last but not least - The Year Round Solar Greenhouse which of course will pay off eventually with....a year round solar greenhouse that a particular loved one of mine has been building in his head for a decade!
So, Merry Christmas, the time of selfless giving where I carefully select presents for others that I want for myself!!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 What Christmas books do you hope are in your future?
