Frampton tells me that they have had contact previously with Begbies, but have been told nothing further will happen until as and when the exclusivity for the Spanish bid is removed. Basically, after Friday's events, the ball is very much in Begbies' court

He says their bid is ready to go and that they could have the takeover completed in 3 weeks. He insists all the bid team will pass the OaDT, and that there are no issues with the source of funding. This is important, as this is what seems to be the problem with the Spanish bid

Frampton also fully acknowledges that there is work to be done to convince Latics fans that they are genuine in their intentions, and their plans for the club and the town

I suppose we now just wait and see what Begbies do. I said on Friday, in my 12th Man contribution, that it's time for someone to shit or get off the pot. The Spanish bid appears to be on its last legs, and starting again will cause yet more delays. That time has to be now #wafc
