This is so incredibly disingenuous. There are so many vagaries in this issue & they need to be discussed. Are Women's & Children's Rights not a noble cause worthy of discussion & respect? Surety of your argument should foster discussion & debate as a way to prove your point. Change minds. Personally, i think it's the wrong fight to tell any woman that their biological reality is meaningless, hateful or overstated. I think it's wrong to ghost their concerns.
Are these women not worthy of a response, other than your disdain, in the face of a call for direct disenfranchisement? Clumsy or calculated, you signed a letter that did this all the same. Saying "I didn't say the thing I said" or taking umbrage at those who were upset by it
adds fuel to the fire you're trying to walk away from. The acceptance, tolerance & support for a sustained, malicious effort to debase & intimidate women who don't agree w/the negation & dismissal of their shared female experience & the removal of sex based rights is dangerous.
You can't proclaim the sanctity of debate while denying it at the same time. True inclusion can only ever be really successful when there's consensus. It has to be done together in a way that's right & respectful for women, children & transppl.
