If anyone from outside wants a little window into British politics now, there is no better example than the Right *Honourable* George Eustice (Environment Secretary) on the Andrew #Marr Show (biggest weekend political programme) this AM.

When asked whether there will be free healthcare for British travellers to the EU after the end of 2020, rather than simply saying ‘no, travellers will need to make sure they are adequately insured in order to access healthcare within Europe’ he said, with an awful Tory smirk:

‘Um those are again matters that I think were dealt with through the, ummm, withdrawal agreement... there were some understandings on that, and erm... a lot of these things are in the finer detail of the withdrawal agreement that has, has has been... [trails off into gibberish]’

So is that a yes? A no? If were relatively uninformed, potentially elderly and at risk, and wanting to travel to Spain for some sun in February, a fucking minister of the fucking British fucking government has completely failed to warn me that if I arrive in Fuengirola...

... with COVID-19, I will have to pay many €1000s for my healthcare, which would previously have been free. Simply because he is so embarrassed of the consequences of his government’s actions that he can’t bring himself to speak honourably and honestly, and share information...

... which could maybe even save someone’s life. All perspective has been lost and it’s absolutely sickening.

This is the moment they should be trumpeting what they perceive to be the benefits of brexit, but instead they are obfuscating, lying by omission, squirming and contorting to save this miserable excuse for a party and wretched government from facing the music.
