Reactionaries are desperate to depoliticise anti-racism. https://twitter.com/RidgeOnSunday/status/1335514739913482246
Eustice is doing the same grim work here as all those people lecturing us about how 'defund the police' is the wrong slogan. The political establishment will lay claim to everything it can from BLM while demonising and denigrating whatever can't be recuperated.
"I reject any gesture in support of BLM not because I'm a racist, no no, but because of my strong commitment to standing up for racial equality." That's the flex, huh?
This MP would like an anti-racist politics which did not acknowledge such things as oppressors and victims. https://twitter.com/BBradley_Mans/status/1335289804259463171
People who are serious about combating racism have made their peace with being divisive; open political antagonism is an essential part of that struggle.

People like Bradley want to exploit liberal anti-racism's rhetoric of 'unity' to reinforce conservative social harmony.
There is no indication that BLM aims to be a 'political party', as Bradley (like Farage) claims. He's just revealing an inability to comprehend a political movement that doesn't conform to the parliamentary party model.
The reason that 'they want to be a party' is the attack of choice is that a party implies being partisan, agental, and formed around specific interests (i.e. political). This confronts their pseudo anti-racism, based on abstract universalism.
Returning to the first tweet: all these people can agree that racism is bad when it is understood as an individual moral failing, because the conclusion there is conservative: society doesn't need to change, we just need to re-affirm its stated values of universal equality.
But when racism is fully politicised, and anti-racism is a confrontational political struggle for social transformation, we get these denunciations. Rejecting anti-racism in the name of anti-racism, like clowns, because they reject politicisation in favour of moralism.
They do all this because they are racists who want to preserve this racist society.
