So let me get this straight, the group setting itself up as being the only ones capable of making independence happen think inclusivity involves...
1. Telling women to shut up when they raise the issue of representation at events featuring manels.
2. Telling women to shut up when they suggest transphobia is demonstrably anti-feminist.
3. Telling trans people they aren't entitled to exist (and women who join in are protected from the general online misogyny inherent in this grouping).
4. Telling the LGBTQ community to shut up.
5. Specifically moving to oust disability voices from positions of power.
6. Attacking young people and suggesting they have no right to occupy positions of influence.
7. Stealing an existing organisation's name, and suggesting the marginalised Gaelic community it represents have no right to a voice.
Have I missed anyone? There are so many people that this part of the Indy movement have collectively tried to silence, that I probably have. Feel free to remind me.
But yes, their vision of an independent Scotland is inspiring and inclusive.
We can do better.
A lot better.
We can do better.
A lot better.
8. When this faction play the "I was in the SNP long before you were in the SNP, so my voice matters more" game, they aren't simply trying to assert dominance over fellow Yes supporters, they are specifically excluding No to Yes folk from having a voice.
Which is simply genius.
Which is simply genius.
So I'm asking again, who exactly are the "All" that are welcome under their extremely narrow banner????
Authoritarianism Under Oppressive Bigotry.
Yes, that seems to be what's really going on.
Yes, that seems to be what's really going on.
"All" Under One Banner are now blocking prominent voices in the Gaelic community who have spoken out about the theft and appropriation of the "YesAlba" name.
Their definition of inclusivity is laughable.
