Here's the thread on the this neo-lib trash apartment with pics. I'll try to point everything out good and bad. Starting with the picture on the left:
That plug under the countertop is useless, it's behind you bar stools and if you plug a phone or something in you need 20" extra cord to get on top of the counter. To the left of the fridge is a huge filler panel, it's just wasted space.
That space by the fridge I labeled WHY? is completely wasted space. You can't fit a table, it's recessed from the door, you'll never use it and end up just hanging some crap art there. All around the unit you have HVAC ducting.
This lowers the entry, leaves a huge shadow around the entire unit and makes your hallways lower. This could be fixed with a split-ductless style HVAC system. There is no crown, this is a modern look but simply comes from saving money.
The doors look very cheap off the shelf slab doors. The front is definitely solid, but doesn't reach the floor or have a threshold. Probably get a lot of hall noise. The others could be solid or hollow, I can't tell. Hollow is garbage but I see it in $500k houses in my market.
The kitchen lighting is completely useless. Someone just went in with a ruler and put the 6 lights evenly in the kitchen with no thought to any tasks. It only takes a little effort to create useful task lighting, also no pendants over the bar.
On to pic 2. Vinyl plank flooring, this flooring is fine, easy to clean, soft, but it feels like the flooring you have in an office. Doesn't have the natural feel of engineered wood or God forbid you put carpet in anything anymore.
There are no can lights in the living area, some people only like lamps, but this can be a nice feature, especially along the walls. The base trim looks like the cheapest 6" pre-painted base you can get at your lumber yard.
Speaking of trim, no window or door trim. This is just cheap, you used to only see this in huge track subdivisions. It's just corner bead on the drywall and will absolutely be destroyed moving things in and out of doors.
The faucet looks expensive, but I'm guessing is cheap. It looks like a knockoff of a nice faucet. If it feels good and has ceramic components, fine. But my policy is never skimp on anything an owner will touch, they'll feel the cheapness.
I can't tell if that outlet on the outside of the dishwasher is just a cover plate, I don't see any receptacles. They've build up that outside half wall, so you can easily put a 2 gang outlet there or even one with USB outlets.
The cabinet pulls are complete trash, they have the minimal look people supposedly like, but they are the cheapest things you can buy. For a $100 more you could do 12" pulls all around. The other think is these pulls are not attached very well and will pull off ruining the doors.
Another thing about the outlets is for very little more you could do 2 gang, you may not use them but you don't have to unplug a coffee maker to plug in your mixer or whatever. Also you have decora switches but old fashioned receptacles. Just match your shit.
The countertop is 2cm marble, which is ok, I like 2cm, but they added the 4cm edging to make it look thicker than it is and my guess is those top pulls are too close and scrape. Also stone tends to stain, quartz is stronger and matches the aesthetic better.
The corner cabinet based on that filler is probably just a huge hole with wasted space in the back you can't get to. For $500 you can get a lazy Susan system that comes out with the door and really makes that space usefull.
The backset filler, which I briefly mentioned on the other picture is just a bad install job. You should have your filler flush with your doors especially with slab doors so you have a consistent front face all on the same plane.
Fixing this involved getting one more piece of material that matches your boxes and takes 15 more minutes to install, maybe $50 for the whole job. I can't see, but I'm guessing these are all 1/2" cabinet boxes. This saves you almost nothing but happens all the time.
They also don't last or feel nearly as nice as 3/4", if you have a good cabinet supplier it's literally free. I also would suspect these don't have soft close doors, that's about a $400 upgrade on this kitchen. Finally they set the cabinets back from the chase above them.
This was so they could use completely off the shelf uppers, it's also the reason for all the filler. This also won't save you anything if you have a good cabinet supplier. And now you have this shadow along them.
Finally these look like the lowest grade stainless appliances you can get. Probably Fridgedair gallery. The plastic knobs are a giveaway. The over range microwave is also the worst, sometimes you can't duct outside, but they really suck.
That's about all the bad stuff, the paint color is also neo-lib who gives a shit gray. You could find a better neutral if you try, but there it is. I'm guessing the laminate on the doors is untextured. If you want to know some decent things hit me up and I'll go over those.
