Seeing thought eventually leads to no thought, as you finally get tired of creating such pointless thoughts (thinking is a tool, not being), but having the goal of “no thought” is just trapping yourself in a different thought. See that too.
One thing the Buddhists, especially, warn about is replacing material attachments with an attachment to “becoming enlightened”.

Just another construct. They seem to think that “enlightenment” is mundane, really. It is the opposite of grasping and striving.
A lot of folks get mad at themselves because they can’t empty their mind. That’s, again, your ego talking. If you witness that angry reaction, you’re there already.

Just chill out. Watch the fruitless grasping as if it were a child.
